Mrs. Marquart came to Ridge Point in 2022 from Cypress Fairbanks ISD. Mrs. Marquart served as the Assistant Director at Rowe Middle School and Anthony Middle School. Before working in Cypress, Mrs. Marquart served three years as the Director of Bands for the Kempsville High School Band in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and one year at Montgomery Middle School in Montgomery.

While Mrs. Marquart served at Kempsville High School, the marching band won second and first place in their class at the USBands Virginia State Marching Championship, the program grew double in size, and established a winter guard program, percussion ensemble, jazz ensemble, and a guitar ensemble. 

Mrs. Marquart graduated magna cum laude from the University of Houston with a BM in Music Education and was a member of the French horn studio under Mr. Phil Stanton, Mr. Gavin Reed, and Mr. Roger Kaza. She was a member of the UH Symphonic Band with Mr. John Alstrin and the Symphonic Winds under the direction of Mr. David Bertman. Amanda was also a member of the Spirit of Houston Cougar Marching Band for the 2008 and 2009 seasons. She has also taught private lessons for Sartartia Middle School and Stephen F. Austin High School.

Mrs. Marquart lives with her husband and menagerie of animals in the Greater Heights area of Houston, TX. She loves to sew, rehab furniture, garden, and attend Astros games in her spare time. She is very excited to continue being a part of the Ridge Point HS Band team!
